"Meditations" Live
Instead of posters or a tee shirt, we're going to offer something a little more special for next week's event. Rachael Abrams took inspiration from the four meditations and created a limited edition of gorgeous collages. They will be on display and available for sale at the show.
About the Artist
Rachael Abrams is an artist living and working in New York. She received her BA in Fine Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her work has been exhibited in galleries in the US and abroad including Plumb Benefits, New York; 326 Gallery, New York; Dilettante Gallery, Los Angeles; Be Electric Studios, Brooklyn; Active Space, Brooklyn; Lower East Side Printshop, New York; 3rd Ward, Brooklyn; Bushwick Print Lab, Brooklyn; Arspace Gallery, San Francisco, and The Dancing Man Gallery, Santa Cruz, CA. She is the recipient of The Robert Sillins Foundation Travel, Research, and Project Grant and the Irwin Foundation for the Arts Grant. Her work has been included in publications such as the arts and literature journal, Ping Pong.
For this edition of collages, Rachael uses hand-printed paper to create abstracted scenes inspired by the Spacetime Diaries Meditations series. She explores movement, dimension, and surface texture, anchored in the world of Meditations.
